Jill Jolliff

Democratic Women's Caucus Member At-Large

I have been a participating member of the DWC since its early days and have found it to be one of the most effective and energizing organizations with which I've ever been associated. I've been involved in a number of grassroots and start-up organizations, and have never seen one dive into its mission with such vigor and efficacy. In just a few short years, the DWC has had a direct and significant impact on the balance of gender representation in local government. As the organization moves into its next stage of development, I would like to do what I can to support its efforts and help carry it forward. My professional experience includes nearly 30 years with local non-profit agencies and public sector human services, with more than twenty of those involved in volunteer management. I am a 2000 graduate of Leadership Bloomington/Monroe County. Most recently I served as the director of the Monroe County CASA program, and am currently a consultant working with the Indiana State Court Administration, Indiana Office of GAL/CASA, providing program development and technical assistance to courts and CASA programs around the state.

My volunteer work has included providing patient support at Planned Parenthood, wielding a hammer for Women's Builds for Habitat for Humanity, and serving on the board of directors of Girls, Inc. My political experience includes assisting with the local campaigns of Steve Galvin, Chris Gaal, Terry Harper, Julie Thomas, and Geoff McKim. In addition, in 2007 I was the campaign manager for Jillian Kinzie's run for City Council. I am eager to help steer the DWC into its next phase!
