Vi Simpson leads the Indiana Delegation at the National Convention!

It is so fitting that the Indiana delegates to the 2016 Democratic National Convention chose Vi Simpson to lead the delegation!
Vi will be sending reports and tweeting @ViSimpson during the convention, and will be reporting on the event and her experiences at our August meeting (August 5, Village Deli, 7:30 am!) Congrats, Vi!  You have a great task ahead of you!!

Cathi Crabtree, Jeanne Smith and Martha Hilderbrand will also be attending and tweeting!
Follow them @Indianamartha @transjeanne, @cathi_crabtree

Thank you, all four of you, for representing Bernie and Hillary and most of all, Indiana!
Watch the DWC Facebook page - we'll be sharing as much as we can from all four women as the week progresses.

Cathi will also be taking over the Electron Pencil from time to time for reports. Here's Sunday's report!! https://electronpencil.com/2016/07/24/hot-air-fresh-from-philly/

Julie Thomas for County Commissioner
Julie needs volunteers to walk in the parades in Ellettsville & Stinesville in September, canvass door-to-door beginning in September and to canvass at the Farmer's Market. Penny Githens for State Representative District 60
Do you live in District 60? Penny needs YOU to help her meet your friends within the District. Could you host a coffee help her get acquainted with voters there?
Penny is out at the Monroe County Fair this week and would like to have a few volunteers to help her spin the wheel of Indiana Knowledge for kids. And if you could donate bags of Smarties candy, (Smarties for Smart Kids!) it would be appreciated.

If you've never walked before, this can be a great way to get involved in the political process, meet voters and learn about concerns in our community! This door to door effort is the most important aspect of her campaign--it shows how committed Amanda will be to connecting with residents once she becomes our commissioner! So join in and her team will get you started!  https://doodle.com/poll/wqtrdxqk7iebg8mv
Amanda is working hard to meet as many voters as possible! She would love to attend your neighborhood association or local organization to learn more about what's going on in the community and to meet voters. If you would like to invite Amanda to meet your group, please message her at: [email protected]
And lastly, if you haven't yet RSVP'd for Amanda's Fall Campaign Kickoff fundraiser, please do! It will be tons of fun including massage, hanging out at the lakeside, canoeing and swimming!
