Vacancies on the Housing Quality Appeals Board
The City Clerk's office has announced that applications are being accepted for two current vacancies on the Housing Quality Appeals Board. These positions are appointed by the City Council. Application review will begin immediately and will continue until the positions are filled.
City Boards and Commissions are citizen staffed and operated, and serve to advise the Common Council and the Administration on issues affecting Bloomington. A complete list and description of Boards and Commissions, in addition to application materials, may be found atwww.bloomington.in.gov/clerk. League of Women Voters Program

Tuesday, September 13th, is the first of the LWV's planned programs on local government. Former county commissioners Charlotte Zietlow and Joyce Poling will talk about what county commissioners do, what it takes to be a good one, and what some of their experiences were in that role. Diaper Drive!
The ALL Options Pregnancy Resource Center at 1014 S. Walnut is having a diaper drive at the end of this month, with a goal of 20,000. That's a lot of diapers, but really a drop in the bucket given how many they distribute monthly. Help them kick off their drive by donating now. The center provides a case of diapers for their clients instead of parsing out 5 diapers at a time as other pregnancy centers do.
